It has been years since we went out with our brother.  We had a fall out, but for the past 2 years or so we started to have a better relationship, which is really nice.  I guess we all need some time to search for answers only ourselves can find.

Well on Sunday he took us to one of the 21 Spanish missions in California; this time was Mission San Juan Capistrano in Orange County, about 1 hour or so from home.

It was a nice day to go out; it was a cloudy, cool day which anyone who lives in Southern California knows that it’s not often to have a day like this.  We left home around 8 a.m. and by 9 a.m. we arrived at the mission, there were not a lot of traffic which it was good. There were not a lot of visitors either; I don’t know if it was because of the weather or because we arrived early.

Being there reminded me that I have always wanted a Spanish style home with a courtyard and lots and lots of flower, roses to be precised.   It was so peaceful being there but unfortunately once you step outside of those walls you are pulled back to reality.  I don’t know why I thought that it was going to be an isolated place, New Mexico kind-of-look , dessert and what not, but you see restaurants, shops, a movie theater and of course Starbucks.

I remember my history teacher telling us that it is kind of sad living in a certain place and not knowing or even bother to know its history, of course that was from my California History teacher. That is why now I want to know about the city I live in.

On our way home. The clouds were so white and fluffy!

About foolishlife

Words cannot describe what we are. We are a little bit complicated to explain. All we can say about ourselves is that we live a foolish life. EkkE-Mekka, we are sister and Ed is our little nephew. The three of us are always finding new ways to pass the time. We cosplay, write, sew, draw, do crafts, chase the ice cream man and a whole lot of other things. So, we hope you enjoy reading about our silly adventures.
