Paddington Bear

-Please look after this bear.

Thank you.-

Last week I was asked to make a Paddington Bear.  Luckily I found a free pattern, don’t get me wrong I would gladly pay for a pattern but I have trouble reading some written patterns and charts.  For me it is better if I can see before hand if I can understand the pattern or not.

I made one modification, because I really don’t like to sew a lot of parts I made the head and body in one piece.  I have ended up with dolls with crooked heads or legs, although I think he might be suffering from crooked legs.

Overall I really, really like how it turned out.  I think this is the first time I don’t have that “Expectation vs Reality” problem, where my version is always way off from the actual design.  I wanted to make him fuzzy by brushing the yarn, but I didn’t want to risk making a mistake that will lead me to start all over again, since it would be my fist time.

About foolishlife

Words cannot describe what we are. We are a little bit complicated to explain. All we can say about ourselves is that we live a foolish life. EkkE-Mekka, we are sister and Ed is our little nephew. The three of us are always finding new ways to pass the time. We cosplay, write, sew, draw, do crafts, chase the ice cream man and a whole lot of other things. So, we hope you enjoy reading about our silly adventures.
