Ready for Halloween!

Well, Halloween has finally arrived.  This year I made two costumes one was for a little girl and the other one was for her mother. Her mother’s costume was a last-minute request but I finished it just in time.

The little girl’s costume is from -El chavo del ocho – a popular Mexican tv program from the 70s. “The story centers around the adventures and tribulations of the title character, El Chavo — a poor orphan played by the show’s creator, and other inhabitants of a fictional housing complex, or, as called in Spanish, vecindad.” (taken from Wikipedia).

Here she is giving candy to her mommy’s co-workers.

I used two Simplicity patterns and I crocheted her wig.  I don’t have any pictures of the other costume but hopefully she will share with me.  Her mommy was going to be a pirate, I was going to make her a coat but ended up as a vest. It was a unanimous decision that it looked better that way.

About foolishlife

Words cannot describe what we are. We are a little bit complicated to explain. All we can say about ourselves is that we live a foolish life. EkkE-Mekka, we are sister and Ed is our little nephew. The three of us are always finding new ways to pass the time. We cosplay, write, sew, draw, do crafts, chase the ice cream man and a whole lot of other things. So, we hope you enjoy reading about our silly adventures.
