DIY: Color me shoes

I was in need of new shoes but the stores near my house doesn’t carry styles that I like, I didn’t have time to go to other stores or order them online.  I did have new shoes, a pair of boots, sneakers and combat boots but when I tried them they felt tighter and I was not going to risk being all day wearing uncomfortable shoes; that is why I need to buy some shoes that I could wear all day.

Finally I decided to go to a discount store and found a decent looking pair of shoes, the only problem was that they were made of dark and light blue denim and golden trim.  The only thing I could do is change the color.

I looked for the fastest way to change the color, I thought that if I use fabric paint it will be too stiff.  I ask my mom for some black liquid shoe polish, taped painter’s tape around the white side of the sole and started painted them, I don’t know if I get them wet they will bleed or not but it was just for one day and with the weather I was not planning to be near water.  I will wear them around the house and try the other shoes to see if I could wear them someday or just get rid of them.

About foolishlife

Words cannot describe what we are. We are a little bit complicated to explain. All we can say about ourselves is that we live a foolish life. EkkE-Mekka, we are sister and Ed is our little nephew. The three of us are always finding new ways to pass the time. We cosplay, write, sew, draw, do crafts, chase the ice cream man and a whole lot of other things. So, we hope you enjoy reading about our silly adventures.
