COSTUME: PRINCESS LEIA

Around the end of September I started to ask my sister if she was going to dress up on Halloween, I remember that she dressed my nephew as a pirate. At the beginning she was thinking on dressing my 8 month niece as a ladybug but then she came to me and ask me to make her a princess Leia costume.  It was not complicated, it took me about 2 days to make it working on it on my spare time, I think that it took me longer to get the baby’s measurements.

Instead of a button I sew an invisible zipper on the back, a snap would have been better but because it didn’t have a lining and because it was fleece it would have ripped.

One week before she asked me to make her a hat, so I did, I make her a hat with earflaps, so she could attach the hair buns.  My sister made the hair buns and the belt.  I thought that she was going to be uncomfortable with the hat but she didn’t seem to be bothered by it, the only thing that my niece didn’t like was to have the hood on.  I am going to try to take a picture of her with the hood on.

About foolishlife

Words cannot describe what we are. We are a little bit complicated to explain. All we can say about ourselves is that we live a foolish life. EkkE-Mekka, we are sister and Ed is our little nephew. The three of us are always finding new ways to pass the time. We cosplay, write, sew, draw, do crafts, chase the ice cream man and a whole lot of other things. So, we hope you enjoy reading about our silly adventures.
